Terms and Conditions
These terms govern participation in Kick-it Line, an invite-only SMS coordination service operated by Kognova ("Kognova", "we", "us"). By enrolling, you agree to them.
1. Enrollment and consent
Participation is invite-only. You begin by texting an invite code supplied by Kognova to the program number from your own mobile device. The service responds once with a disclosure message. You are enrolled only after replying YES to that disclosure. By replying YES, you agree to receive conversational and plan-coordination SMS messages from Kick-it Line. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help, STOP at any time to opt out, or DELETE MY DATA to request deletion. Do not supply another person's mobile number or ask Kick-it Line to contact someone who has not enrolled.
2. What the service may do
Kick-it Line may retain preferences and availability you provide, ask coordination questions, reconcile tentative schedules, propose a plan, request confirmation, and send concise status updates. It distinguishes between an idea, expressed interest, tentative availability, a proposal, and a confirmed commitment.
Kick-it Line has no authority to speak for you. A plan is not confirmed on your behalf unless you explicitly confirm it. Verify important details directly with the people involved.
3. Low-stakes use only
Do not use Kick-it Line for emergencies, crisis support, medical or legal decisions, significant financial decisions, transportation safety, housing, employment, relationship mediation, or other high-stakes matters. It does not contact emergency services and is not continuously monitored by a person.
4. No autonomous purchases or commitments
Kick-it Line is not authorized to purchase tickets, make reservations, transfer money, enter agreements, promise attendance, or place any participant under an obligation. It may suggest that a person take such an action themselves.
5. Experimental service, security, and availability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis as an experiment, and may be changed, interrupted, paused, or discontinued at any time without notice. No internet or messaging system is perfectly secure. Kognova makes no promise of availability, accuracy, confidentiality, successful coordination, or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Responsibility and limitation of liability
You are responsible for deciding whether to act on any message and for independently verifying important facts. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kognova is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or reliance-based losses arising from use of this experimental service. Your simplest remedy is to discontinue use by replying STOP.
7. Age and acceptable use
Participation is limited to invited adults aged 18 or older. Do not use the service to harass, deceive, impersonate, threaten, or spam any person, to evade another participant's stated boundaries, to interfere with the service or inject malicious instructions, or to coordinate unlawful activity.
8. Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date above, and Kick-it Line will request renewed consent before continuing any materially affected use.
